Wow! It feels good to give back and come together with like-minded people to accomplish a goal! In 2018 I organized a hygiene kit assembly, and we assembled over 500 kits. I had no idea how much work and fun it would be. I was not sure if I would do it again this year, but friends asked me if I was doing it again, and I said sure. We took the plunge, and we even topped last year’s total. This year we assembled approximately 800 kits! I have to say this year’s kits are quite lovely. Each kit includes:

PACK OF TISSUE * PAIR OF SOCKS * RAZORS * COMPRESSED TOWELS * BODY WASH * DEODORANT

LIP BALM * TOOTHBRUSH * TOOTHPASTE * BANDAGES * ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT

MALE/FEMALE CONDOMS * FEMININE PRODUCTS (Female specific kits only)

The organizations benefiting from the kits are:

  • Coalition for the Homeless

  • Cathedral Community Cares at Saint John the Divine

  • New York Common Pantry
