Happy Thanksgiving
Give HOPE: Help Other People Eat
In celebration of Thanksgiving this year, my friends and I got together to purchase decorations (I had to iron each wreath bow!), apple pies, rotisserie chickens, and turkeys for the soup kitchen where I volunteer. It was a great event that put turkey on the clients’ plates. Over the past few months, the clients have come away with a sandwich bag, a hot meal bag, and a pantry bag!
I consider myself very fortunate to have a chance to work with great friends and volunteers. Working with them is a great learning experience for me. I value the knowledge and insight they have.
With this said, Thanksgiving is more than the festivities, and it gives us time to ponder upon what lessons we learned and how we can spread happiness around, to look back at all the great memories and good people who came into our lives. I appreciate you so much—Happy Thanksgiving Day to you and your loved ones.

“Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year because it reminds us to give thanks and to count our blessings. Suddenly, so many things become so little when we realize how blessed and lucky we are.”
The picture below is of a fire last year at the Greenberg Smoked Turkeys warehouse, where I also ordered turkeys from last year. They had to cancel all of last year's Thanksgiving orders, but they rebuilt their factory and returned for Thanksgiving this year. They are awesome!
